When you join one of Meadowbrook at Clayton’s winter golf leagues, you’ll be playing golf all winter long on some of the top 100 courses in the world. Meadowbrook’s state of the art golf simulators provides hours of entertainment and keeps your game sharp for the 2019 season. Meadowbrook at Clayton is now accepting bookings for weekday golf leagues with evening tee times starting at 5:15 pm or 7:30 pm. Weekly league green fees are only $20 per person, plus carts aren’t needed when you’re playing inside! Meadowbrook has everything you would want! Making sure cold beverages and snacks are available while you play. The league is a two-person best ball or feel free to gather all your golfing buddies and start your own league.
If you don’t desire a league, Meadowbrook at Clayton has additional options. Open tee times are available during weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekends. Open play is booked in 30 minutes increments for just $20. Hourly rates remain the same no matter how many players join your group.
Are you more of a “Top Golf” fan? We have that covered as well. The simulators provide skill challenges and competition options far beyond the Top Golf experience and are great for family fun or an evening out with friends. The beer is cold, and the weather is always perfect, so reserve your tee time today!

Now you can play golf year round at Meadowbrook at Clayton! We’re excited to announce we’re installing golf simulators so you can play throughout the snowy season on 80 different famous golf courses like Pebble Beach. The cost for nine holes will be around $20 per person.

Ok, so it has been a while since I’ve talked to you, but wanted to take a moment to update everyone on what’s going on at your friendly neighborhood golf course, Meadowbrook at Clayton.
Summer has finally come to an end, too many really hot days and too much rain. Ok the golf course likes the rain, but not so much the golfer. So what do you do with all that time on your hands, wax the runners on the sled, check all the bulbs on the Christmas lights? No! fall is here and for those that don’t know fall is the best time of the year to play golf. Cooler temperatures, leaves changing colors, kids back in school, fall is a great time to play golf. Also this fall has been a great time to see a lot of nature around the course.
Red tail hawks, a Coopers hawk the other day, big giant red headed woodpecker. blue heron, and all the other playful birds. We even had a couple of coyotes walking down #1 early a couple days ago. and then there is this guy…
So the other day this guy walks into the shop and say hey there’s a Fox on #11. And I said, “what my wife is here”. ( My wife reads my blogs and I will take any opportunity to get good husband points) No, a real fox, running on the golf course! This picture is her on #10 tee. So when your out here playing know that we’ve seen her all around the course.
Gives me a great idea on how you can get an extra round in this fall. Just Tell your wife, husband, significant other, heck, tell you boss that you need a afternoon off to go on a nature hike, then come out to Meadowbrook and look at all the nature as you look for your golf ball. Who knows where you hit it you may run into an Okapi. (look that one up)
Remember fall will only last so long and then you will have to put the clubs away and start dusting off all of your Holiday stuff… Whoa! wait a minute. Not this year because Meadowbrook is getting GOLF SIMULATORS this fall and we will be able to play golf at some of the greatest courses, all winter long… and do it in doors! YEA!

We have been working hard at Meadowbrook to get the golf course ready for everyone to play. (Ok, so when I say we, I mean Mark our superintendent and his great staff.) The problem is, there has been one thing standing in our way from having a course full of golfers enjoying their friends and making birdies… good weather. That’s right, every time we get a good day and think that winter is over, boom, snow and cold weather drops by again. It’s as if Spring keeps hitting the SNOOZE ALARM!
Well I am going out on a limb ( covered with ice and snow) and saying, that’s enough! Oh, it’s ok if it rains a little, and ok if we have a slightly chilly morning, but I’m done with winter for a while. let’s play golf! So, Meadowbrook at Clayton golf course is open and ready to go. We are cleaning up the carts, mowing grass, raking bunkers, doing everything we need to do to be ready for the crowd.
To get everybody back in the golfing mood we have extended our out of season rates through next Tuesday. That’s right 18 holes and a cart through Tuesday, April 24 is just $26… WOW! After that we go to in season rates. $33 for 18 and a cart, Monday through Friday and $42 on weekends. Still a great value for such a great course!
So, dust off those clubs, clean up your softspike shoes, and call us and make a tee time. WE are ready, heck we’ve been ready!

Spring Golf Around the Corner
So, I’m sitting in my office looking at snow and tapping on the thermometer to see if it is stuck on freeeeezing! Made me take a moment and look up when spring starts. Just 75 days! and when I think back, I remember that last year we played golf in February, so maybe golf is not that far away. Thought I would take a moment and talk about 2017 and what’s happening in 2018.
2017 was a very good year for Meadowbrook. The course was in great shape for most of the year and outside of a little too much rain at times, the course stayed very playable. We also had our best year with rounds played and seemed to stay busy with leagues and outings, but as always, we have plenty of room for more rounds to be played. Pace of play for the course was good with most groups staying under the 4:15 pace we ask you to play in. A good pace makes golf fun for all.
We did have some big moments this year. We had several holes in 1! in 2017. A couple that I would like to mention. First, hole in one by Rick Rose, why is this so important… he is Clayton’s city manager, so he’s my boss! So, woo hoo Mr. Rose. Gary Gould also had a 1 on #3 back in July.
Gary is a regular at Meadowbrook and was kind enough to send me a picture celebrating this great occasion. So, congrats Gary, hope you ace the other par 3’s in 2018!
If you have a special golf moment happen at Meadowbrook, please let us know and maybe you will be feature in one of my world famous blogs. (world famous because my son-in-law reads them in Maryland.)
2018 is here and we have great plans for this year. The prices for annual passes are the same as they were in 2017. Premier pass gets you unlimited golf, advanced tee-times, locker, bag storage, and a GHIN handicap. The cost is $1150 or $1025 for Clayton residents.
We plan on doing open tournaments this year, so keep your eyes for the opportunity to play with or against your friends in 2018.
On the course we have plans for improvements. Finish the cart paths on the golf course. This will allow us to keep carts out when the course is wet. We are also removing many of the dead and dying trees from the course. This will do several things, allow for the turf in the rough to improve and remove many impediments from the flight path of many, many golf balls.
Well that’s enough for now. Keep your eyes open for more blogs in 2018. I plan on keeping you up to date on a regular basis this year.
